Introduction to html

 What is HTML?
Image result wey dey for htmlHypertext Markup Language, a standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, colour, graphic, and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages. It is also a set of markup symbols or codes inserted in a file to be displayed on the world Wide web(www).


Html is the soul of web design and it is the main frame of web design. Html as a markup language tells the browser how to display web documents. Markup tells the web browser how to display a webpage and images for the user.
Html gives the ability to link documents electronically using hyperlinks, which makes it a markup language. Html consist of a standardized codes and tags.

Tags are surrounded with angle bracket to tell the browser how to present web pages.

USES OF HTML

There are various uses of html.

-Html is use to create form to interact with website visitors comma collect information, make purchases online, phone transfer, payment payment online e t c.

-Html is use to create entertaining and informative web pages with text, tables, list graphic e.t.c.
-Html is use to present information to a global audience via the world wide web.
-To get feedback from users of the web via web forms.

-It is used to add audio and video to web pages which the visitor can listen to or watch online.
-Html is used to create web pages that allow you to download pictures, sound, files, programs, and video clips.
-Html can be used to design webpages where you can play or download games.etc

TOOLS NEEDED TO RUN HTML

There are two main tools used to design html which are text editor and web browser. 

Web browser: By browsing the web, there are staggering number of different things that can be done, depending on on what you intend to do on the internet.Web browser is a program that gives a computer the ability to communicate with internet and display the information stored there. it's a software programs that allows users to access the web’s rich content. Examples of most popular web browsers that are commonly used nowadays are: We have google chrome, internet explorer, opera mini, safari, Uc browser, Mozilla Firefox. Chrome is the most commonly use browser for viewing html documents. 

Text editor: a text editor is an application use to produce plain text file. They are used to edit html code. text editor usually come with operating system and can be used to edit programming source code.Examples text editor are: dream Dreamweaver, notepad, notepad++, sublime Text, atom, Visual studio etc. there are still many more text editor but will be talking about them in the next article.
