Figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC show that 8 new Covid-19 fatalities have been reported in the country. This takes the national death toll to 896.
Nigeria has again discharged 355 Covid-19 patients which is higher than the number of 288 new infections recorded in one day.
The 288 new cases were recorded in 15 states including Lagos-88; Kwara-33; Osun-27; FCT and Enugu-25 each; Abia-20; Kaduna-17; Plateau and Rivers-13 each; Delta-10; Gombe-8; Ogun-4; Oyo-3; Katsina and Bauchi-1 each.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Nigeria is now 44,129 while 20,663 patients have so far been successfully treated and discharged.
