Dubia, a city in the United Arab Emirates has open their airports and is readily receiving residents, tourists and visitors.
At the airport, a section is dedicated to detect COVID-19 using K9 police dogs. Samples are taken in collaboration with partners from DHA. The results from the test come out in less than a minute. The UAE is the first in the world to use K9 police dogs to detest corona virus in all airports.
The dogs are made to smell the samples of the test as the indicate which is infected with corona virus. People didn't realize police dogs can be used to. the most common method of testing for the virus is PCR. The dogs detect COVID-19 through the human scent.
A traveler says the test was very fast, easy and he was surprised the equipments were ready upon arrival. Another traveler says its was so easy , he didn't have to come in contact with the dogs and the test was very fast and barely took a minute.
