The Kogi state government says it remains committed to the security of lives and property in the state.
The commissioner for information and communications, Kingsley Fanwo who made the pledge while briefing journalists in Lokoja after this week’s state executive council meeting also said measures are being introduced to substantially reduce poverty in the state.

He said loans and grants are also part of the poverty alleviation plan
Around three hundred thousand households are being targeted to benefit from the scheme with the least receiving the sum of twenty thousand naira.
