Barring any last-minute change, arrangements have been concluded for the defection of Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the Zenith Labour Party.
Ajayi had just on June 21, dumped the APC for the PDP, where he contested the party’s primary and lost to Eyitayo Jegede.
Already, Face Caps and T-shirts with the inscription of ZLP and his name have been produced in large numbers.
To this development some supporters and leaders loyal to Ajayi have gathered in Okitipupa to form what they described as the “Third Force, ” to challenge the two major political parties, The APC and PDP in the October Governorship election.
Ajayi is expected to officially declare to run for the October Governorship Election under the ZLP this week.
Substitution of candidates by political parties ahead of the October Governorship Election ends on August 18, 2020.
